Hello people lets read about one of the famous tourist spots in Australia. The Great Barrier Relief.
A distance of over 2000 km along in the northeastern coast of Australia, the home to thousands of species of plants and animals is the Great Barrier Reef is. The Reef which runs parallel to the Queensland coast has been specified by the Australian Government as a Marine Park.
Only a few can imagine the biological diversity of the great barrier reef. One mostly has to realize first that the 2000 km long reef runs predominantly in the North-South direction, therefore spanning a wide range of climates. Rain forests and mountains are superior in the northern islands, while the southern islands are composed mainly of Coral Cay.
Other than its environmental value, the area gives visitors a variety of activities including scuba diving, snorkeling, water sports, and birdwatching.

Hello everyone, welcome. Lets read today about the Gateway Arch in the United States of America.
The Park was set up on the banks of the Mississippi River, on December 21, 1935, to observe the westward growth of the United States between 1803 and 1890. Cost for the national monument of $30 million was shared by the federal government and the City of St. Louis.
The park contains the Gateway Arch, designed by architect Eero Saarinen who won the design competition in 1947. The stainless steel structure rises 630 feet tall from a 60-foot foundation and spans 630 feet at ground level. Its classic weighted catenary curve sways 1/2″ – 1″ in 20 mph wind. Construction on the nation’s tallest memorial began in 1961 with the “topping out” in 1965 and dedication in 1966

Hey everyone lets know a little more than the world famous Petronas Towers in Malaysia. One o fhte tallest bulidings in the south east Asia. Twin towers Petronas, Government of Malaysia owned oil company, also associated with Malaysian firms and multinational companies. Major part of a large burst of construction that marked the economic boom for the counrty in the 1990’s, the buildings are located at the northern end of a projected high-tech business zone, the Malaysia Multimedia Supercorridor. Built of steel-reinforced concrete columns clad in glass and stainless steel, with a design based on geometric patterns originating in ancient Islam, the 88-story buildings are linked at floors 41 and 42 by a double-decker pedestrian skybridge, and each tower is surmounted by a 242-ft-high (74-m) pinnacle. At the lower level, the Petronas Towers also has a concert hall that is home to the Malaysian Philharmonic and a business reference library.

Hello guys lets read about the Eiffel tower in Paris, France.
300 metres high, weighing 7000 tons, this was world’s tallest building until 1930. Other statistics include: 2.5 million rivets. 300 steel workers, and 2 years (1887-1889) to construct it. Height differs up to 15 cm depending on temperature. 15,000 iron pieces. 40 tons of paint. 1652 steps to the top.
It almost collapsed in 1909, but was saved because of its antenna – used for telegraphy at that period. Starting in 1910 it became a member of the International Time Service. French radio (since 1918), and French television (since 1957) have also used its stature.
In its lifetime, the Eiffel Tower or Tour Eiffel known in France has also seen a few strange scenes, including being scaled by a mountaineer in 1954, and parachuted off of in 1984 by two Englishmen. In 1923 a journalist rode a bicycle from the first level. Some accounts say he rode on the stairs, others suggest the exterior of one of the tower’s four legs which slope outwards.

Hello folks lets read about the very well known Great Wall of China, one of the seven wonders of the world.
First emperor of United China linked the discontinuous walls with watch towers with was used to pretect as the rampart. It was specifically built against Hsiung-nu or called he Huns. It was constructed partly of masonry and partly of earth and was faced with brick in the eastern portion. It was reconstructed again in the 15th and 16th century. The basic Wall is 30feet height and towers are 40m high. The great wall lies from 39.49 degrees North to 98.18 degrees East. The Yen Mountains are the world famous known ones and has peak up to 4,900 feet above main sea level. The great wall has it crest over these mountains in a zigzag manner. According to the Astronauts and space researchers, the only visible and clear one from the moon on earth is only “The Great Wall”. A statement said “The Great wall is the only visible thing from Satellite”

Hey everyone lets know about the Temple of Artemis in Turkey. Beeing the first of its kind to be built. This is located on the west coast of modern Turkey, south of Selcuk county about 50 km south of Smyrna. This place was known as Ephesus during ancient times. This temple was demolished and built again over several hundred years. From the descriptions of those times, this temple must have been a great place for travel and tourism. Tourists would have loved to visit and explore such places.
This was first of its kind built during 800 BC near the river at Ephesus. The God Artemis in Ephesus is a goddess of fertility. In some instances Artemis is connected closely to the Roman and Italian goddess, Diana. She also is goddess of night, fruitfulness, childbirth, beasts, bull and is an eternal virgin. This temple got its rightful recognition as one among the seven wonders of the world.

Hello people, today lets read about the Pyramid of Giza situated in the lovely locales of Egypt.
Egypt is a place everyone would love to head for a vacation. Tourism is such a great and huge money earner for Egypt. And when somebody travels there, one of the frequent preferred place to visit would be the Cairo and the Giza city.
This is one of the largest pyramids in the world and considered to be one of the best among the seven wonders of the world. There are actually 3 Pyramids situated in this place along with a Sphinx. The largest of all is The Great Pyramid of Khufu and this is the only one among the seven wonders of the world. These architectural marvels are seen in Giza City which is located at the northern edge of the Giza Plateau, about 10 miles west of present day Cairo.

Hello people, today lets read about a cricketer who completely transforemed one day cricket in the first 15 overs during the 1990’s. Its none other than the explosive Santha Jayasuriya. His batting, bowling and fielding was exceptional in that period.
Sanath Jayasuriya is the god of Sri Lankan cricket. When the hard-hitting left-hander first came on the picture it was clear he would develop into the colossus the rest of the team would be built around. The quick pace with which he scored was exciting for its technique and grit.
As the years passed by in which he wielded the willow brought recognition and triumphs at the bigger stage. His team, and it was his team, which was something to be reckoned with.
The World Cup win in 1996 will go down in Sri Lanka history and it was Jayasuriya, the man – who rose to global prominence at this time – and he was who led the way with his explosive stands as an opening batsman.

Hello everyone, lets read what every person in this modern world should know and the steps to prevent it. Yes its child abuse. It has been growing rapidly day to day.
Child abuse is not only contusions and broken bones, it’s more than that. While physical abuse is the most visible sign, other types of abuse, such as emotional abuse or child neglect, also leave deep, long ever lasting scars. Some signs of child abuse are difficult to understand than others. However, by knowing common types of abuse and what you can do about it, you can make a huge difference in a child’s life. The children earlier abused get help, the greater chance they have to heal from their abuse and not perpetuate the cycle. Know the signs and symptoms of child abuse and help break the cycle, by finding out where to get help for the children and their caregivers.

If you are not aware about touch-screen phones are in. Its not just about smartphones like the Apple iPhone. Touch-screens have forced down into the normal handset category. Samsung has been the leader in it, with Samsung Mythic and Samsung Flight from AT&T. Both of them are touch-screen only and have the TouchWiz interface and multimedia offerings. If you want an eco-friendly touch-screen phone, just go for yet another Samsung offering, the Samsung Blue Earth. It’s available unlocked, but it does have a solar panel on the back for extra battery life. LG is no slouch, in the touch-screen department, mainly with the new LG Chocolate Touch. The first touch-screen phone in the Chocolate family from Verizon Wireless, and has a good 3.2-megapixel camera and a full-featured music player. Finally is the newest member in the touch-screen family: the T-Mobile Tap. Made by Chinese company Huawei, the Tap is smaller in size than the others, but it does have a decent feature set.
